LL-37: Research, Benefits & UK Availability

A human cathelicidin antimicrobial peptide researched for broad-spectrum antimicrobial, immunomodulatory, and wound-healing properties.

Every Peptify LL-37 batch is independently HPLC-tested by Janoshik Analytical (Czech Republic) and ships with the batch-matched Certificate of Analysis.

    What is LL-37?

**Antimicrobial research.** LL-37 is the only known human cathelicidin antimicrobial peptide — the endogenous reference compound against which synthetic analogues and resistance-mechanism studies are benchmarked across published antimicrobial literature.

Research has examined broad-spectrum activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, fungi, mycobacteria, and enveloped viruses via membrane disruption mechanisms. Immune cell recruitment, endotoxin neutralisation, biofilm disruption, wound healing, and inflammatory cytokine modulation have been characterised as parallel research programmes — the multi-functional profile that defines the published LL-37 dataset.

5mg lyophilised vial. Batch-specific COA downloadable from the product page; 99%+ HPLC purity. Royal Mail Tracked dispatch. For in-vitro research use only.

    Key Research Areas

The only known human cathelicidin — broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against bacteria, fungi, mycobacteria, and enveloped viruses documented
Membrane disruption mechanism characterised; reduced resistance development relative to conventional antimicrobials reported in published studies
Bacterial biofilm disruption investigated — an active research application where classical antimicrobials show limited efficacy
Immune cell recruitment, endotoxin neutralisation, and wound healing examined as host defence roles alongside the antimicrobial work
Inflammatory cytokine modulation characterised for balance rather than simple suppression — context-dependent activity studied in research models

    How to Store LL-37

    Unreconstituted (Lyophilised Powder)

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For long-term storage, keep refrigerated at 2–8°C. Under these conditions, lyophilised peptides can remain stable for up to 24 months. For extended preservation beyond 24 months, store at -20°C in a freezer.

    Reconstituted (Mixed with BAC Water)

Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, the peptide solution must be refrigerated at 2–8°C. Use within 4–6 weeks for optimal potency. Do not freeze reconstituted peptides as this may degrade the compound.

    General Tips

Always keep vials upright to prevent leakage. Avoid repeated temperature fluctuations — do not leave vials out at room temperature for extended periods. Protect from light exposure by storing in the original packaging or a dark container. Label all vials with the reconstitution date.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    What is LL-37?

LL-37 is the only cathelicidin-derived antimicrobial peptide found in humans. It is studied in the antimicrobial, immune-modulation, and epithelial-barrier research literature.

    What is LL-37 researched for?

Published preclinical research has examined LL-37 in antimicrobial-pathway, immune-signalling, and epithelial-barrier studies. It is one of the most-studied endogenous host-defence peptides in the in-vitro literature.

What purity does Peptify LL-37 meet?

Peptify LL-37 is 99%+ HPLC-verified with a batch-specific Janoshik Analytical Certificate of Analysis downloadable from the product page.
